Research on the massive increase in global Entrepreneurship
More people than ever want to become Entrepreneurs.
It is based on:
- Interest (record levels)
- Necessity (jobs are disappearing at light speed)
In the industrial revolution people stopped being farmers to instead work in industries and later offices.
In the current revolution (we are right in the middle of it now), people are leaving big-business offices to work at smaller companies or for themselves. Preferably in purpose driven projects. Many current occupations like drivers, the last of the factory workers, store clerks, most doctors and others are being replaced by robots and software. Some of the future occupations include programmers, designers and marketers. Most of the economy will be driven by entrepreneurs (8 out of 10 new jobs already created by SME) in a totally connected world with 1 language (english), 1 currency (US dollar) and 0 countries (internet does not have borders). By 2050 at least 75% of all people will live in one of 600 cities around the globe and going through school will not be considered being "educated". Education is life long in a world that is changing faster and faster. 50% of what you learn today will be obsolete in only a few years time. Most young people today need to prepare for an occupation that currently does not exist. http://venturebeat.com/2015/11/08/coding-bootcamps-are-replacing-computer-science-degrees/ |
